NEVER NEVER WORK WITH KFORCE AS A TEMP OR INTERNAL EMPLOYEE!!!!

Kforce treats its temp and internal employees like trash! They either forget to pay you or just wont until you've called and called and called and when you do get ahold of the HR/Payroll Team they have the audacity to act like its your fault and are extremely rude! The company in itself is unstable and has ZERO loyalty to their employees! I unfortunately worked with them and saw the many horrible things they did to their temp workers and they"bandaids" they put on issues/situations not to get sued!! So sad to see the AE's and Recruiters that have to deal with senseless directors and MP's that treat them like a #!

Contact office to the headquarters. Tell them you're going to file a complaint with the CEO David L.

Dunkel, 60, has served as Kforce's Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and a director since its formation in 1994. Prior to August 1994, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Romac-FMA, one of Kforce's predecessors, for 14 years. In addition to the significant value that Mr. Dunkel brings to Kforce, we believe it is customary for the Chief Executive Officer to be a member of the Board of Directors.

Kforce lies about job requirements putting employees in a loose loose situation

I was placed in one of the top financial companies as a Project Technician. I got a great rate and got through all the interviews and was placed in my role only to find out they are expecting me to take over a train wreck of a project as a Project Manager! not being aware of the intensity of the tasks that awaited me, i took it as a challenge. The mentor i was assigned to barely had the patience or the time to walk me through the new process which led to an inevitable failure infront of the stakeholders.

I then sat with my hiring manager and went over the job description that was provided by kforce and explained my troubles and sought his advice.

After a couple of days Kforce called to inform that i have been let go because of my lack of knowledge and experience as a PM which wasn't in my job description to begin with. All in a span of 1 month.

Now wherever i apply kforce is showing a red flag from their end and i have become persona non grata.

Be aware of their reluctant nature towards the employees.

UNPROFESONAL STAFF STAY AWAY!!!!

I applied for a job in Mansfield MA and was contacted by Jim at Kforce about my resume. He indicated that he thought I would be a good fit for the position, and I got an interview. I did not get the position and according to him it was "not a good fit." and he stated that the company "hired someone directly." I told him I was disappointed and asked for his manager's name, which he hesitated to give me and proceeded to give me this story that they have no influence over who is hired. It was a rude response. I told him not to contact me again, and to not bother looking for me anymore. I then contacted his manager, Andrew, who was even worse in his attitude, and Andrew stated "If you want to talk like adults, call me". He was rude and unprofessional as well. When I got home that night, Jim's cell phone number appeared on my caller id, after I specifically told him to not contact me again. I've gone to the better business bureau, as well as the incident hotline with Kforce and stated that I want both of these guys fired. KForce is useless. They find a way to blame the person that they are allegedly working for because of their stupidity. As far as I'm concerned, there was no point in using them if the person that they hired was hired directly. It is KForce's fault that I did not get that position. Stay away from them unless you want to be truly disappointed and deal with incompetent people. You are better off trying to find a position on your own than dealing with these jerks.

Staffing Company Can't Keep Staff

I was in the job market and was contacted by a Kforce rep. I was happy with the rate and interested enough in working remote to take the position. Unfortunately, the remote location had built-in taxes that I was unaware of. My bad for not doing my own research. Anyway, the position was pitched to me as a developer, with a 6 month contract-to-hire expectation. As it turns out, the client really needed an administrator, analyst and developer, as the person filling all of these roles decided that he needed to return to India. After 5 months of employment, every person that I worked with at Kforce [4 in all] has left for other opportunities, and my new point-of-contact is not very responsive to my requests for some action on my contract termination. In the past month the client has hired at least one person to fill out the project team [a business analyst]. As I do not want to be hung out to dry at the last minute, I have been forced to begin looking for another job.

They Don't Tell the Truth

I accepted employment with K-Force, to work temporarily for a bank as a WRITER. The pay was phenomenal and above the industry average but what I looked forward to was becoming productive and creating quality documentation. On the day I arrived, I was assigned to a department to perform duties that did not include writing and that fell outside my scope of experience. I informed the manager of this but she stated I would be trained to do the work. I was placed under the authority of one of the most horrendous people I've ever had to work for. The woman was haughty though she did possess an admirable command of the English language. What she seemed completely devoid of was professional acumen. She never provided training during my 3 and a half week stay. She did not respond to instant messaging requesting information needed to complete my assignment. Finally frustrated, I called the Manager who was her supervisor and left a message asking to speak with her. The following day, I arrived at work. I sat at my desk as I did most days, with absolutely nothing to do. I sent a message to the supervisor but she did not respond. About 30 minutes following my arrival, I received a call from Chris at K-Force who asked how my assignment was going. I told him that it was quite frustrating as I had not received any training and too often was forced to sit at my desk for hours because my supervisor was not providing me training, assignments or anything that might help me carryout my responsibilities. Chris then informed me that he received a call from the supervisor and it had been decided I was no longer needed for the project I had been hired to complete. He added, however, that he would keep me in mind for other assignments. I never heard from him again. About 2 weeks ago, I received a letter from the Employment Development Department, informing me that I failed to tell them I had been terminated by KForce. I wrote an appeal advising them at at no time had Chris ever said that I was being terminated and that my assignment had just come to an end. He never used the words "fired", "terminated", "laid-off" or "canned." KForce has succeeded in creating an image that they are a professional staffing company however, their forthrightness is questionable as is the integrity of their employees.

Worst Co Ever

Hands down the absolute worst company I have ever had the misfortune to work for. Horrible mgmt staff at the downtown Ft.Worth location.

Corp communications and systems just as bad. No training, outdated systems, unreachable depts. when you finally do reach someone in payroll or HR etc.. They are very rude and curt not to mention you either have to just leave a message which no one ever returns your call or be left on hold until you give up.

The company and downtown Ft. Worth office inefficient and not employee friendly.

All round unprofessional and dishonest. Future employees beware!

KForce Changed Rate of Pay After Firm Expressed Interest in Hiring Me-Unprofessional

A KForce Charlotte recruiter called me for a phone and personal interview for a position with the largest financial institution in the area. I was told the rate and contract length which I agreed too prior to meeting the hiring firm.

After interviewing with 3 dept heads, I received strong feedback and the firm expressed interest in hiring me. 2 days later the KForce recruiter calls giving me a story of how the department lost the funds but were re-granted funds for the requistion within a 2 day window but at a Lower Rate (BS). The difference in the contract rate equated to $6,000.00 or $1,000.00 per month. I informed the KForce rep.

the revised rate was not acceptable. He then provided a new rate and term which I agreed too. The call ended with him advising me he would touch base with the hiring firm and later discuss the drug and background screening process with me. I never heard from the rep until 2 weeks later when I called the general number at the office.

During the interim I called and emailed him on several occassions to obtain a status--No Response. When I did get him on the phone, he gave story about how they were reorganizing the office and how he forgot to call me ( more BS). Prior to the interview he was calling me 3-4 times a day- hunger for that potential commission I guess. I truly believe once he was advised the firm wanted to hire me , he or KForce decided to low ball me on the rate.

He had several excuses/stories regarding the entire process. And who knows what story they gave the hiring firm. Being a seasoned Wall St professional , I know when someone is not being forth right and professional, and these folks definitely DON'T fit that bill.

Beware wary and cautious dealing with these folks. Totally Unprofessional.

Change of rate, change of mind

They got me a phone interview with IBM in Southbury, CT. Interview went well and the IBM people requested a face-2-face interview the next day.

Face-2-face also went well. I was told IBM wanted me and they submitted a rate we agreed on. After my online "Onboarding" they changed the rate without my knowledge. I inquired and after the long weekend someone got back to me and said they would fix it.

The recruiter I worked with called me the next day and said IBM had put a "hold" on things and they did not know what the outcome would be. After reading other reviews, it appears they may have submitted another candidate for less money (more money for K-Force).

Supposedly they will let me know by the end of the week what IBM said. Will update accordingly.

Disappointed with the K Force Temporary Employment Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I received a call from a recruiter regarding a temporary position that matched my experience and skill set. An appointment for an interview was arranged to meet with a recruiter in their New York office. At the interview I was told I was a perfect match for the prospective Employer and a follow up call would be made to either set up an interview or start the assignment. After two days I called and left several messages. The recruiter never returned any of my messages. I was disappointed with the lack of professionalism and courtesy. People are seriously looking for work and should not be treated this way. Shame on you KForce.

Condescending recruiter treated me poorly

I was called by a recruiter at Kforce regarding a job in the Nashville TN area. We discussed the specifics and I agreed that I was interested to continue pursuing it. After a day of research into the company, I decided that it was not a good fit for me. I informed the recruiter, Michelle Long, that I was not interested in the job and she began talking to me condescendingly. She told me specifically that I need to "be honest with myself" and "be honest with her". I then explained why the company was not a good fit - the employee reviews were poor and I didn't have any interest in taking that risk. She repeated the same line about honesty. At this point, we finished the conversation and hung up. I was under the impression that Kforce was in the business of finding the right jobs for the right people, not just trying to meet their quotas for the month. I will not be referring anyone to Kforce because of Michelle Long and I strongly recommend looking at more reputable staffing companies.

Similar poor assessment. Should not be in the recruiting business.

I just talked to her and I thought she was very nice and energetic in regard to finding a job for me. Have you considered that you might be a *** :-)

Thank you for your response. I am glad to hear that after two years she has discovered how to treat her clients.

You, however, should not resort to name calling as it undermines the point you've made. Best of luck to you in your career and I hope you find the job of your dreams.

I'm not the original poster, but I am considering that YOU are Michelle Long or some crony of hers.

She was talking about honesty and you were trying to be honest with her and she didn't seem to appreciate it. Hmm... what irony.

Employees Treatment Review

They should never have been allowed to handle the Wounded Warrior Project in Washington, DC. Obviously they're not taking this responsibility very seriously. Let's pray they don't treat the wounded warriors as disrespectfully and unprofessionally as they have treated their employees (clients/recruits). With their total disregard for honesty, it makes me want to contact the news media!

Kforce - Unprofesssional Service Review from Germantown, Maryland

I was contacted by them for a part-time data entry position with the Veterans Administrations Wounded Warrior Project in Washington DC. I was very excited at the prospect as O had been serving as a volunteer at a Veterans hospice in Maryland. I accepted and signed the employment contract, took and passed the online test, was fingerprinted, submitted all the required paperwork, was offered and accepted the work schedule, (literally strung along for 2 months), only to receive an email stating I was "not a good fit." When I inquired of KForces "talent representative, Andrea Viza, what in the world suddenly happened to cause me to mysteriously be deemed unqualified; her terse response was, " I don't know. I think the VA is becoming more strict with their applicants." I responded " this is a data entry position, correct? I have a Masters Degree and lots of data entry experience." She suggested that I resubmit another "more updated resume" and she would send it back for review. Despite being told I was hired. I was not and in the interim had turned down another job opportunity based on the LIE KForce told me. Utterly unprofessional and totally chaotic.

Kforce will to your face and they do not care about the employee

The staffing managers will tell you they want to make sure you are happy at your position and make sure you are working, but the minute you say you want a new assignment it does not matter how long you have been there or how hard you worked, they will stab you in the back and make sure you never have another assignment with them again. The staffing managers will make sure no recruiter or staffing manager will touch you. It is like dealing with high school leopard spoiled little girls. Stay away from these people, work for a real company.
